Aquatic Programs for Seniors

One of the main things the Tri-Hampton YMCA is known for is its great Aquatic Programs for Seniors. The Arthritis Aquatic Program is one of these great programs. It is designed to help reduce stiffness, pain, and improve/maintain joint flexibility and is endorsed by the National Arthritis Foundation. Then there is our Aquacize in Moderation or "Aqua Mod" class. This class is a low-to-no impact water excercise class that increases muscle tone along with flexibility. If Aqua Mod is too easy, then joining the more rigorous Aquacize class is an option. This vigorous water workout focuses on aerobics and muscle toning. All of these water workouts are 45 minutes long.

Tri-Hampton YMCA Swim Team

To begin this blog we would like to touch on something that the Tri-Hampton YMCA is very proud of, which is the Tri-Hampton YMCA Swim Team. It is the only YMCA branch in Lower Bucks County with a swim team. The swim team is comprised of "senior level" teen swimmers that practice out of Bucks County Community College. If you have any interest in joining the swim team or know someone who may be interested, have them contact Coach Dave Prutow. You can reach him by email at dprutow@verizon.net.
